When Jon Lagon and Mike Joy made the decision to join their creative and professional forces, which at the time included over 15 years in the photography industry and an internationally recognized portfolio of work, they knew they were on the edge of breaking new ground. Having shot thousands of weddings locally and abroad, and experience working with some of the world’s top professionals in the business, it was only a matter of time for them to pursue a partnership that would redefine the terms of where photography was headed and what it could mean for the industry as a whole. It was then that the Visionari was created.
Early on, Jon and Mike looked towards developing a company philosophy that focuses on creating an experience for their clients that goes even beyond the quality of images they are known for capturing. Often described as being classic, modern and expressive, they have strived to continue to offer the same level of detail and precision that first brought international attention and acclaim to their work. The intent was to incorporate the style and quality that they were recognized for (of combing classic portraiture and photojournalism) with a professionalized standard of appreciating and fulfilling the needs of their clients. They believed that each wedding deserved an entirely dedicated approach that was tailored to reflect every couple’s individual styles and characteristics.
With those principles in mind, Visionari has grown and for the past five years has consistently caught the attention of people and publications worldwide. A significant driving force behind the company’s success has also been a strong commitment to the team concept. By training new photographers, but always keeping in mind the classic and precise techniques from which Visionari’s success has grown, their company continues to uphold a dedicated commitment to their clients and their work. Driven by Jon and Mike’s experience and philosophy towards their company values, they have been commissioned to work in countries as far off as Bulgaria, France and Australia, and still continue to offer a quality experience to their clients back home in Hawaii. The business has grown significantly over the past year, now reaching a greater expanse of clients with different photography packages tailored to suit individual needs. With a team of established photographers at the helm, Hiko, Ryan, and Lisa, the success of Visionari appears to have only just begun.
